After returning to the dock at Dona Bay Marina, the day's catch is hung for pictures. Here's the chance to show what you did on your Florida vacation! We would like to feature your fishing charter on a Web page for all to see. This trip on May 28, 2000 yielded a good catch of grouper and permit. Two large sharks also were hooked and "released" after a muscle-wracking fight.  Gary "Dr. Hook" Howland, pictured here holding Lucky Dog, is not to be confused with Captain Gary "Moose" Mahle. Dr. Hook writes and teaches computer graphics, occasionally crews on the Snookums and produces the Hookum Snookums Web site. Vicky caught a nice Permit.   This Jewfish (caught on a shark rig) was a group effort...and I do mean EFFORT! The hook is a foot long, to give a idea of the size of this fish. Since Jewfish are protected, this one was returned to its home.
